| [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width:450px; background-image:url(http://i43.tinypic.com/2jc678g.png); border: solid #852e2e 7px;-webkit-border-radius:50px 50px 50px 50px;-moz-border-radius:50px 50px 50px 50px; padding:10px;] the rules , the following are a series of rules to which we ask that all members please adhere: regarding oneself: • please be aware that we ARE an advanced roleplay and expect our members to have a basic understanding of presenting one's posts and following rules. just because we do not require an application or a word count does not mean we will tolerate a lower standard. • we ask that as a member of midnight masquerade, you use respect and patience when interacting with others. be sure to read and adhere to proboards rules and regulations when roleplaying on this site. do not be afraid to ask questions! the staff team, as well as other members will surely be happy to help (: regarding one's characters: • please use human/real life play-bys ( meaning no cartoon characters or animals ). • please keep each account to one character only. • please refrain from creating "sues" ( overly exaggerated or idealized characters, usually containing little or no flaws. - could also apply to a character with too many flaws - ) • please try to keep male to female ratio even ( or we may have to start banning ) • please be sure your play-bys are of an age recognized as acceptable by proboards ( aged 14 and up ) • please be aware that many commonly used "internet" playbys have requested that their images not be reproduced. if we find that you are using somebody who has made such a request, you will be advised to change the play-by. • please refrain from making use of deviantart or lookbook models as play-bys. these communities are populated largely by individuals not considered of "celebrity" status, and to use their personal fashion photos comes across as rather invasive. • please be sure to check with a staff member if considering any extreme plots (ex. pregnancy, suicide, murder). regarding one's graphics: • please keep banners under or equal to 500px(width) x 400px(height) • please keep icons around 165px(width) x 300px(height) and below • if you find yourself clueless when it comes to graphics, as many of us are, feel free to request some from our "graphics shoppe" section. this template was made by cazi of caution. |
